Makaan Burt, CYT, is a quintessential teacher who has combined many forms of yoga and
TaiChi. His teaching allows the student to drop deep into their own mind-body experience. Each
class is tailored to student needs. He blends his many talents, which includes a background as
a professional potter, musician and improvisational actor. His blend of
Makaan has studied yoga for 38 years, including two trips to India. He is long time student of
both Richard Freeman(8 yrs) and Mukunda Stiles(4 yrs): from whom he was certified in
structural yoga therapy. He completed 14 solo wilderness yoga retreats, three with questing
master John P. Milton. These retreats along with study in improv theatre give Makaan an
innovative and heartful style of teaching.
Makaan also offers TaiChi classes, Ayurvedic massage, therapeutic privates and workshops.
